I have been dealt some life threatening blows.

My wife died in 2014 at the age 44. The pain was unreal. I wanted to die and I tried to drink myself to death. Then, it got bad.

I started on heroin and meth. Those couldn’t numb the pain and one day my son told me, “Dad, you need to imagine your life without me because that’s what’s going to happen if you don’t change!”

What my son said hit me like a ton a bricks! I left everything and signed up for Victory’s Restoration Program.

Here at Victory I’ve realized it's all about Jesus. The real Jesus who lived, loved, experienced all we have to do in this life. I've found Jesus here. Not the churchy Jesus. I met the man who wants to walk with me through the hell on earth. He is calling me to the best I can be.

I want to be a man and be there for my son. I walked away from everything to follow God. I'm involved in The Well church downtown. I see Jesus now and I'm forgiving myself. I can move on.

I've found Jesus here. Not the churchy Jesus. I met the man who wants to walk with me through the hell on earth. He is calling me to the best I can be.
